Communication

Yes, of course, anything to make you happy, it doesn't matter about me, I'm happy to help.

Fuck off the lot of you.

And there's a fair bit in between.

About Me

My photo
Cathy Broome
Poetry is many things. An expression of heart or soul; a response to beauty or pain; a way to communicate a thought, idea, feeling or plea. Poetry is an inspiration – both in the writing and the reading. It is a mystery in its creation and interpretation. It is both meaningless and meaning-rich; profoundly, ordinarily human and inherently mystical. It is a thing which contains all opposite ends of the spectrum and yet is none of those things. People tell me I am a poet. I have no idea what that means – it is not something I can comprehend with my mind. And yet I know. To me, reading or writing a poem is like hearing a piece of beautiful music. There are many layers to it and though the mind can understand the words or hear there is a piano playing or grasp that this is a sonnet, it is the soul which feels the deep expression of what is being communicated. Though I may put my subjective interpretation onto it, what it means to you may be entirely different. It is a means to celebrating our sameness and our difference. I am in love with poetry.
